"Only from the heart can you touch the sky." ~Rumi
I love this quote for so many reasons.
It is my simple reminder that when I show up in the world from the energy of compassion, much more is possible, so much more is available to me, and so much more of myself is available to the world.
Rumi reminds me I can choose to live into my higher self; to play big in the world.
Heart = compassion, love, values, vulnerability
Sky = being present and in the moment, being bigger than my monkey-mind self.
This quote reminds me to lift my mind up out of the fog of fear with compassion, rather than self-judgment, and to celebrate and love my vulnerability AND my unique strengths. I can open up to greater possibilities only available when I lift the fog of fear - possibilities for growth, new experiences, for my brilliance to shine, for the essence of being. Just being.
I am reminded to take time for stillness, for self-reflection and self-awareness, so that I can see how I let my fears limit me and I can choose, in those crucial moments of choice, to embrace a more expansive version of my self. And in this choosing, I am able to recognize the hearts of others and communicate and lead in ways that are inclusive an inspiring.
"This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment." ~Rumi
When I remember to be heart-centred I am so much more able to recognize my essential self and live from that most beautiful of spaces.
What is it to be heart-centred?
What practices help return you to your heart centre?
What does leading from your heart look like in action?
